Blessed!

I am truly a blessed person. I have been blessed with a wonderful life! I need to remember to thank God everyday for all the things I have been given. Above are pictures of my 2 biggest blessings. Shelby is pictured above showing off her ribbons from a recent horse show banquet. I was so happy to get to take her. Isaac is pictured next showing his peace sign. He has no clue what it means. He has just seen other people do it. Paul & I have to be careful because he copies everything! Speaking of Paul, I have been blessed to have been married to him for 16 yrs! Man, time flies. I could not have picked a better husband and father of my children. I have also been blessed with awesome parents and siblings. I have wonderful friends. God has provided for all of my needs and most of my wants. I am so thankful but don't always remember to thank God for my blessings. That is something that I intend to spend a lot of time working on!

I will finish what I start

Hello--
The new year is already flying by. I love starting a new year because it always feels like you get to start a clean slate. This year I am determined to finish a lot of the little projects that I have been working on forever. Last night I finished Shelby's scrapbook thru age 5 (yeah)! I just have one more of hers to complete. I have stayed pretty caught up on Isaac's. Another huge goal is to finish Paul's cross-stitched stocking. I have been working on it for more than 10 yrs!!! I know-sad! I only have the foot part left. I also want to add the pictures and journaling to Paul's Air Force album. After all my other goals are reached, I will work to catch up my family albums. They will never be done! Wish me luck!
Attached are pictures of my stack of completed albums and our dog, Yoda. He looked so cute that I had to take a picture.
Have a good night!

To tile or not to tile........

That is the question... You might be thinking... What? We have been really researching everything about floor tiles for the last few nights. I saved enough $ at my 2nd job to replace the kitchen floor. We had settled on ceramic tiles. We did all the research, found the perfect tile or so we thought. Paul started asking around and found out we would have to replace the sub-floor to use real ceramic tile. This is just not possible. With the limited time Paul would have to work on it-we would be without a floor for possibly days. So now we are looking at laminate. The crazy thing it is double the price. We are still looking. I tried to upload a picture of the one we are considering but was not able to. We may resort to laminate wood--the room has paneling on the walls so wood is not my first choice. I will post before and after pictures of the room once we are done. Wish us luck!

A hot mess-Before & After

My scrapbook room (or I guess really just my desk) has been making me crazy for the last few weeks! It has been a HOT MESS! It started when the kids brought their school stuff home at Christmas. I didn't have time to go thru everything so I made a stack on my desk in the scrapbook room. Then, I got sick so I didn't feel like cleaning so instead of trying to stay on top of the clutter, I moved it to my desk to be dealt with later. Well, later got later and later until I hated going into my room. My room is my "happy place." After dinner tonight, I decided enough was enough!!!
It is now clean (yeah)! Posted are my before & after! My "happy place" is happy again & so am I!

Back to the grind!

Hello,

I am getting back in the work routine. Today was a pretty good day-just busy as usual. The kids got out of school early today. Isaac had a play date and Shelby went to work with Paul. Isaac got home at about 5:30. We ate dinner. By 6:30, he was puking AGAIN! Bless his heart! Paul cleaned the carpets in his room and the hall and I gave him a bath. I hope it was because he ate too much--only time will tell! He is sleeping on the couch. Shelby is happily watching a movie.
Attached are pictures of Isaac & his friends from their visit on Sunday. They were so cute together!
Also attached are pictures of the latest baby goats!
The other pictures are of the scrapbook pages that I did on New Year's Eve.
Enjoy! Have a good night! Off to check on my babies.

whoa- I was really behind-Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving. Paul & I usually rotate spending Thanksgiving one yr with my family and the next year with his. For the last 2 yrs, Mama has spent Thanksgiving in GA with her brothers so we have spent the time with Paul's family. This is fine because Mama lost her mother at Thanksgiving so I'm sure being with her brothers makes her feel closer to her Mom. My family had a Christmas/Thanksgiving combo this year on Christmas day. This way we got to have Mama's awesome Thanksgiving meal! My favorite is the cornbread dressing. I actually made some myself this year for the first time ever. It was great--not Mama's but a great first try. Paul & the kids really loved it. Anyway, we had Thanksgiving at Paul's sister's house. It was a wonderful meal. It is the only "fancy" meal that we have every year. It is a sit down dinner with china & crystal. The table always looks beautiful! We always have so much fun! Paul set up the bouncy so the kids played outside on it for a long time. The boys spent much the day playing football w/ Tyler. The girls spent their day catching up & worshiping Tori (ha-ha). After, we went to see Grammy. She was so happy to see us! She spent the day with her son but was a little blue not seeing the whole family.
We were so thankful to spend the day with those that we love!
I had to attach a picture of my photo shoot with the kids and one from Isaac's little school program! So sweet!

I'm back!

Finally--I am back! I haven't been really lazy-- just busy! (i promise). Anyway, I have a lot to share. We had an awesome Christmas (except for being sick)! Santa was as generous as usual. We
were blessed with more than we deserved or needed as usual!
I am so excited--my 2nd job is about to end. Sat. night will be the end. I have enjoyed it and am so happy to have money for a new kitchen floor. Hopefully, by the end of this month Paul can begin working on it! I will post the before & after pics. I am ready to be a one job woman again!
Enjoy the pictures!
